Sri Lanka President appoints Committee of Inquiry to investigate intelligence services' actions on 2019 Easter bombings.
Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed a Committee of Inquiry (CoI) to investigate actions taken by Lankan intelligence services regarding prior information from Indian counterparts about the 2019 Easter Sunday bombings, which killed around 270 people. The CoI's mandate includes examining whether adequate actions and measures were taken by the State Intelligence Service, Chief of National Intelligence, and other relevant authorities based on the prior intelligence and evaluating the sufficiency of these measures.
