Positive psychology program PATH improves quality of life and reduces fatigue in blood cancer patients undergoing HSCT, per a June 2024 JNCCN study.

A positive psychology program called PATH has shown promise in improving quality of life and reducing fatigue in patients with blood cancers undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), according to a study in the June 2024 Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (JNCCN). The nine-week, phone-delivered intervention, which focuses on gratitude, personal strengths, and meaning, had a high completion rate, with 91% of patients finding it easy and helpful. Cancer care providers are encouraged to consider interventions like PATH to enhance patients' well-being.
