Oscar-nominated actor Paul Giamatti has joined the cast of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy as the main villain for the upcoming Paramount+ series. Giamatti's character has a secret connection to one of the new cadets, adding intrigue to the series set in the 32nd century at San Francisco's Starfleet Academy. The series will be executive produced by Noga Landau and Alex Kurtzman, who is also directing the series premiere.
