400+ Ontario patients placed in unwanted nursing homes: A report by The Canadian Press reveals that more than 400 patients were forced into nursing homes they did not choose, with the rate of these moves increasing. Since a law enabling such transfers came into force in late 2022, 20,261 patients have been moved to long-term care homes, with one-third of these forced placements occurring in February and March.
