New Zealand has decided to exclude agriculture from its Emissions Trading Scheme and disband the agricultural industry's climate group, He Waka Eke Noa. The government will create a new Pastoral Sector Group to address biogenic methane emissions. They will invest $400 million over four years to accelerate the commercialization of tools and technology to reduce on-farm emissions.
