272.61mph electric hypercar Aspark Owl SP600 breaks EV speed record at Automotive Testing Papenburg.
The Aspark Owl SP600, a £2.5 million electric hypercar, has set a new record for the highest speed clocked by an EV, reaching 272.61mph (438.73kph) at the Automotive Testing Papenburg (ATP) track in Germany. This surpasses the previous EV speed record of 258mph (415kph) held by the Rimac Nevera. The Aspark SP600 achieved the record on June 8 with Marc Basseng, an acclaimed racer, at the wheel.
