Missoula County's Maclay Bridge reopens after $75,000 repair, has temporary 11-ton weight limit; full inspection and replacement by 2026 planned.

Missoula County's Maclay Bridge, closed since January due to safety concerns, has reopened after repairs. The bridge, which spans the Bitterroot River, cost $75,000 to fix and has a temporary weight limit of 11 tons. A full inspection by the Montana Department of Transportation is planned later this month. The county plans to replace the bridge with a new "South Avenue Bridge" by 2026 at the earliest.
