Missing skier's body found at Mount Rainier National Park after search began on May 19.
A missing skier's body was found at Mount Rainier National Park after a search effort began on May 19 when park rangers received a report of an overdue skier. The woman was last heard from on May 18 before setting out on a ski tour. She was located above Paradise, at the base of Pebble Creek's Moraine Falls, and appeared to have fallen about 200 feet. A park helicopter located her body during a favorable weather window, and rangers used traditional crevasse rescue methods to recover her.
