A man was arrested for a fire at St Michan's Church crypt in Dublin, damaging mummies; this follows a 2019 incident where 'The Crusader' mummy was decapitated.

A man was arrested in connection with a fire at the crypt of St Michan's Church of Ireland in Dublin, causing damage to several mummified remains. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 4:30 pm on Tuesday afternoon. The scene has been sealed off, and a forensic examination is currently being conducted by a team from the Garda Technical Bureau. This is not the first incident at this crypt; in February 2019, an 800-year-old mummy known as 'The Crusader' was decapitated during a break-in.
