Malaysian High Court dismisses Dr. Mahathir's application for open RCI proceedings on sovereignty issues.
Malaysian High Court dismissed former PM Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad's application for judicial review, seeking open Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) proceedings into the handling of sovereignty issues relating to Batu Puteh, Middle Rocks, and South Ledge. The court denied Mahathir's request to postpone the RCI proceedings and allow his lawyers to be present. The RCI, led by chairman Tun Md Raus Sharif, will remain closed-door.
