3.63m saltwater crocodile stalking residents in Northern Territory community captured and euthanized.
A massive saltwater crocodile, 3.63 meters long, which had been stalking residents and reportedly eating dogs in a remote Northern Territory community, has been captured. The crocodile had moved into the Baines River, just 250 meters from community homes after floods earlier this year. Police, with the help of Parks and Wildlife rangers, captured the dangerous croc. After consultation with Traditional Owners, Elders, community members, and Parks and Wildlife, the crocodile was shot to prevent further danger to the community.
