Naomi Osaka returned to grass-court play at the Libema Open, defeating No.32 Elise Mertens (6-2, 6-4) for her first grass-court win since 2019 Wimbledon. Meanwhile, world No.5 Jessica Pegula won her first-round match against Aliaksandra Sasnovich (6-2, 6-2), her first victory since the Billie Jean King Cup in April. Both are set to compete in upcoming Hologic WTA Tour tournaments.
