Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Ltd (Kotak Alts) has invested Rs 1,445 crore to help Matrix Pharma acquire Viatris' API business, making Matrix the second-largest Indian API player and providing access to R&D capabilities, 185 scientists, and over 600 DMF filings. Kotak Alts' support will enable Matrix to strengthen third-party sales and explore opportunities in the pharmaceutical CDMO space.
