India's electric vehicle (EV) sales rose by 40.31% Year-on-Year (YoY) in FY 2023-24, reaching 17,52,406 units, driven primarily by two-wheelers and three-wheelers. Electric two-wheeler sales increased by 29% to 10,09,356 units, making up 57.60% of total EV sales. EV three-wheeler sales grew by 56% to 6,34,969 units, with electric car sales experiencing an 82% increase, reaching 99,085 units, and electric bus sales seeing a growth of 85% to 3,708 units.
