Mistral AI, a French AI startup, has raised €600m ($644m) in a round led by General Catalyst, raising its valuation to €5.8bn. The company was founded in early 2023 and has already attracted over €1bn in investment in the last year. Mistral is partnering with Microsoft and other US firms and has corporate backers including Nvidia, Samsung, Cisco, and IBM.
