Edinburgh's 'Walnut Whip' W Hotel, which sparked controversy due to its distinctive bronze-clad steel exterior, has been put up for sale less than a year after opening. The hotel, which features 244 rooms and a 360-degree panoramic rooftop bar, is part of a £1bn St James Quarter development. Owners Nuveen Real Estate have appointed Savills to bring the hotel to market, alongside a 25% stake in the complex.
