Connecticut DOT begins 2nd phase of $500M I-91, I-691, Route 15 interchange project to reduce congestion and improve safety by 2030.
Connecticut's Department of Transportation has begun the second phase of a $500 million project to reconfigure the interchange of I-91, I-691, and Route 15 in Meriden. The project aims to reduce congestion and improve safety by eliminating hazardous weaving points, correcting roadway geometry, and adding multi-lane exits. The project, supported by federal funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and state funding, is scheduled to be completed by 2030.
