Cairn Oil & Gas, a subsidiary of Vedanta Group, launched the largest commercial Alkaline Surfactant Polymer (ASP) flooding in the Mangala oil field in Rajasthan. This marks the largest injection of its kind in India, utilizing the ASP method to increase oil recovery in mature fields by up to 60%. The company plans to expand this technology to other fields within the Rajasthan block, aiming to contribute 50% to India's oil and gas production.
