Australian swimmer Ariarne Titmus broke the women's 200 meters freestyle world record at the Australian Olympic swimming trials in Brisbane, clocking a time of 1 minute, 52.23 seconds. She shattered Mollie O'Callaghan's previous world record of 1:52.85, set at last year's world championships. Titmus, the reigning Olympic champion in the 200- and 400-meter freestyle events, now holds world records in both events.
