70-year-old Greg Fertuck requested a mistrial and reopening of his murder case to test a rifle found in 2021.

70-year-old Greg Fertuck, representing himself in his murder trial, requested a mistrial and to reopen his case to test a rifle found in 2021 at a Saskatoon police ballistics testing facility. The judge, Justice Richard Danyliuk, reserved his decision and promised to issue a ruling within 48 hours. Fertuck later withdrew his application, citing unawareness of the potential hardship.
