2-year-old drowns in southwest Las Vegas valley; Las Vegas police investigating. On Monday, at around 1:48 p.m., authorities responded to reports of a child drowning in the 3900 block of Redwood Street. The 2-year-old was taken to UMC Hospital where they were pronounced dead. The ongoing investigation is being handled by Metro police's abuse and neglect detectives.
