66-year-old legendary baseball coach Paul Mainieri, who retired from LSU, is set to return as head coach of South Carolina Gamecocks. Mainieri boasts a 39-year coaching career with over 1,500 wins, leading LSU to a 2009 national championship and four other appearances in the College World Series finals. He takes over from Mark Kingston, who was fired after South Carolina's NCAA Tournament exit.
