UN Security Council votes on US-drafted ceasefire resolution for Israel-Hamas conflict.

The UN Security Council is voting on a US-drafted resolution supporting President Joe Biden's proposal for a ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian militant group Hamas in Gaza. The draft resolution, which calls for a three-phase ceasefire plan, requires at least nine votes in favor and no vetoes by the US, France, Britain, China, or Russia to pass. It remains uncertain whether Russia and China will allow the adoption of the draft.
