Emergency services responded to a boarded-up building in downtown Wellington, where a person was injured after falling three storeys through a collapsed stairwell. Initial reports suggested multiple people were injured in the derelict Amora Hotel, but the incident occurred at Pringle House, next door. The building had been under the control of its insurance company and was partially sealed off with security fencing. The injured person was transported to Wellington Hospital in moderate condition.
