3 missing children and father Tom Phillips, who lost custody and committed an armed robbery, disappeared in New Zealand in Dec 2021; $80,000 reward offered for information leading to their location.

New Zealand authorities have offered an $80,000 reward and immunity from prosecution for anyone who can help locate three missing children and their father, Tom Phillips, who disappeared in December 2021 from a remote rural community. The children's father, who lost legal custody, is also wanted for an armed bank robbery in May 2023. Acting Detective Inspector Andrew Saunders expressed concerns about the children's lack of access to education and healthcare during their two and a half years of disappearance. The case has gained national attention, with the family already having previously disappeared and reemerged from a forest in 2021.
