Acorn Fire, a 15-acre vegetation fire, was successfully halted by firefighters in Calaveras County, south of Valley Springs near Hogan Dam Road close to New Hogan Lake. The fire, detected on Monday, saw no reported injuries or threats to structures, with the cause remaining unknown. CAL FIRE crews are now in the mop-up phase, working to fully extinguish any remaining fire sections.
