63-year-old Ville Platte pedestrian Sharron Hampshire was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 104 near Studio Lane on June 8, 2024. A 2016 Honda Pilot hit Hampshire while she was walking near the eastbound fog line. The driver of the Honda provided a breath sample showing no alcohol and no impairment was suspected. The crash remains under investigation.
