Maryland parole agent Davis Martinez, 33, was found dead under a bed in the home of registered sex offender Emanuel Edward Sewell, 54, who is charged with his murder. Martinez was conducting a routine visit when Sewell allegedly stabbed him repeatedly, wrapped his body in plastic bags, and hid it under a bed in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Montgomery County Police Chief Marcus Jones called the killing "brutal."
