92-year-old Coronation Street legend William Roache avoided bankruptcy after settling his tax bill with HMRC within the 12-week deadline. Roache, known for playing Ken Barlow for 63 years, had been given the deadline in March to resolve the dispute. On June 10, a hearing at the Insolvency and Companies Court in London dismissed the case after it was confirmed Roache had paid the HMRC bill.
