University of Canterbury student, Tamara Stratton, is using her master's research to develop practical solutions to improve drinking water quality in Tonga. Stratton's involvement in installing water filtration systems in local schools sparked her interest in the sustainability of these systems, which often rely on costly and hard-to-obtain consumables like UV lamps and membrane filters. Stratton aims to create more sustainable solutions to support the Tongan community.
