Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park aims to increase visitor numbers as international tourism recovery varies.

Tourism operators in Australia's Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park aim to boost visitor numbers, which have dropped from over 300,000 in 2017 to 164,678 in the first nine months of 2023. International tourism has not fully recovered, with the Japanese market lagging, while the US and UK markets are performing well. Foreign tourists made up 25% of visitors in 2023, compared to 50% pre-pandemic. The region saw over 400,000 visitors in 2019.
