Store manager awarded €43k in compensation after being penalised for informing Revenue about unpaid wages. The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) ruled that the woman was treated unfairly by the company for making a protected disclosure about a tax code breach. The manager had contacted Revenue after attempts to raise the issue with the company's directors were unsuccessful.
