Scottish government declines public inquiry for Glasgow School of Art fire damage.
The Scottish government has rejected calls for a public inquiry into fires that destroyed the historic Glasgow School of Art building. The Mackintosh-designed building was damaged in two fires in the last decade. Culture Secretary Angus Robertson said the Scottish government does not support a public inquiry but recognizes the cultural and historical significance of the Mackintosh building.
