Students from Bega Valley and Eurobodalla participated in regional boccia finals, with 470 schools entering 511 teams across NSW and an estimated 3400 competitors. This Department of Education's School Sport Unit boccia tournament is the largest of its kind in the world, catering to students with physical disabilities who enjoy the sport's elements of bocce, bowls, and pétanque. In the regional finals, primary students from Bega Valley Public School, Quaama, Wolumla, and Batemans Bay, along with secondary students from Narooma and Braidwood, competed.
