PAGCOR, the Philippine gaming regulator, has identified alien hacking and scam syndicates (AHaSS) as a bigger security threat than Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs). PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco stated that legitimate POGOs contribute significantly to the government's revenue and provide jobs. The focus should be on combating foreign cybercriminals, rather than targeting POGOs.
