A Perth family is challenging former Prime Minister Scott Morrison's 2019 claim that electric vehicles can't tow trailers, by embarking on Australia's first all-electric "big lap" camping trip. Tim and Renee McLennan, with their children Ellie and Xavi, started their 15,000-km journey in April, towing a custom-modified caravan with their Kia EV9. They document their journey on their website, defiantly saying, "An EV will tow our trailer and take our family out to our favorite camping spots."
