NHS appeals for O blood-type donors due to cyber attack affecting major London hospitals.

The NHS has launched an urgent appeal for O blood-type donors following a cyber attack affecting major London hospitals. Hospits including King's College Hospital, Guy's and St Thomas', and the Royal Brompton have been severely impacted by the attack, which targeted pathology partner Synnovis on Monday. As a result, hospitals are unable to match patients' blood at the same frequency as usual, and NHS Blood and Transplant is appealing for O blood-type donors to book appointments to donate, as this blood type is safe to use for all patients.
