New Haven, Connecticut dedicates a new immigrant monument in place of removed Columbus statue.
Connecticut city New Haven dedicated a new monument to immigrants, replacing a statue of Christopher Columbus removed in 2020. The new monument, located in Wooster Square, features a young immigrant family arriving in America with just a handful of suitcases. Created by local artist Marc-Anthony Massaro, the statue is called "Indicando la Via al Futuro," or "Pointing the way to the future."
