Massachusetts-based nursing home operator Next Step Healthcare agrees to a $4M settlement with AG Andrea J. Campbell over claims of understaffing and resident harm. The agreement includes an independent compliance monitor overseeing staffing at 10 facilities, and $3.25M for staffing-related improvements over three years. This is the largest nursing home settlement in Massachusetts history.
