Malaysia's manufacturing sales rose by 5.7% in April to 153.2 billion ringgit (32.45 billion USD), primarily driven by sales in transport equipment, non-metallic mineral products, basic metal and fabricated metal products, and electrical and electronics products. Export-oriented industries saw a 3.4% increase, while domestic-oriented industries grew 11.4%. For the first four months, the manufacturing sector's sales value increased by 2.7% compared to the same period in 2022.
