Japan's transport ministry conducted on-site inspections of Honda and Mazda headquarters after the companies admitted to improper tests for vehicle certifications required for mass production. The Ministry is examining whether administrative punishments or recalls are needed, following similar inspections of Toyota, Yamaha, and Suzuki. None of Honda's current models are affected by the falsified data in tests for 22 models.
