Chandrakant Raghunath Patil, a seasoned Gujarat politician, was sworn in as a Cabinet minister in PM Narendra Modi's new government. Patil began his career as a police constable in 1975, transitioned to journalism, and started his political journey with the BJP in 1989. His roles in the BJP have included being the Surat city treasurer and vice president, and chairman of the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation.
