A Georgia congressional candidate, Chuck Hand, convicted for participating in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, has walked out of a televised debate with fellow Republican, Wayne Johnson.
The debate was held ahead of a June 18 primary runoff in the 2nd Congressional District.
Hand, one of at least four people convicted of Jan. 6 crimes running for Congress, was sentenced to 20 days in federal prison and six months of probation.
He left the debate after accusing fellow candidate Michael Nixon of attacking his wife during a news conference.
