Former NITI Aayog Vice Chairman, Rajiv Kumar, has urged the Modi government to address unemployment issues, particularly in the unorganised sector and small and medium enterprises. He emphasised the need for the government to finalise the four labour codes that have been delayed. According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), the share of unemployed youths in India's total unemployed population was nearly 83% in 2022.
