Jitin Prasada, a former Congress leader and minister, has rejoined the Centre as a Council of Ministers member under PM Narendra Modi. After defecting to the BJP in 2021 and winning the Pilibhit Lok Sabha seat, Prasada, a prominent Brahmin face from Uttar Pradesh, now holds a significant Public Works Department portfolio. Previously, he served two terms as a minister in the Congress-led UPA government.
