Ex-IRA man Nathan Kinsella admitted in court that a wealthy friend gifted him hundreds of thousands of euros, while Kinsella was on the dole. Kinsella entered guilty pleas for tax offences in 2021 for failing to pay Capital Acquisitions Tax in the years 2018, 2019, and 2020. His sentencing was delayed after filing a new return, which the state said wasn't consistent with the previous evidence.
