Delta is introducing its premium economy service on some transcontinental flights from New York to Los Angeles, starting September 10th. The premium economy seats, which cost twice as much as standard economy, are part of Delta's strategy to grow revenue from higher-priced tickets. The new service will be offered on four of the 11 daily flights between JFK and LAX using newly refurbished Boeing 767-400ER aircraft.
