Bank of Ireland launches High Court proceedings over Davy stockbrokers group purchase, disputing €15.3m deferred payment claim by Ailmount Investments.

Bank of Ireland (BoI) has launched High Court proceedings over its purchase of the Davy stockbrokers group, following claims by Ailmount Investments that BoI unlawfully withheld a €15.3m deferred payment. BoI denies the allegations and claims Ailmount is obliged to indemnify the bank and hold it harmless for losses and liabilities, including legal claims. The case has been admitted to the fast-track Commercial Court.
