Armed robbers killed a final-year student of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area. The student, identified as Saviour, was shot dead while trying to protect his cellphone from the robbers. The incident occurred at about 8 pm at Ikot Uboh, Ikot Ekpene LGA, close to the student's former residence. The police are working to apprehend the culprits.
