23-year-old Richard Carroll was fatally shot on Bettis Academy Road, Graniteville, Aiken County on Saturday. Carroll was pronounced dead at Wellstar MCG at 2:32 a.m. due to a gunshot wound. The Aiken County Coroner's Office and Sheriff's Office are conducting an ongoing investigation, with an autopsy planned in Newberry. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
